Hi Chad,
I have been using this plugin since you wrote it 2 years ago. Recently I tried to update from OpenVBX 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 and kept seeing the "Success!" message but not getting the update screen. After reviewing your source I decided to give it a try using https from github and that seemed to fix the problem.
This patch just requires https when connecting to github.
