We are currently linking to IRC and Wiki from the /participate page

For all I know, no one monitors IRC.

The Wiki is dead!

Should we discuss abandoning IRC officially on the main mailing list?

Ha ha. This one caught my eye. I think IRC can just fade off into the sunset.

I was thinking about this the other day.

We link to the wiki in a couple places.

We should remove all links to the wiki

I tend to agree about removing links to the wiki and IRC, but I think we need to follow our decision-making process for something as important as this, just in case people are still using either one. I recommend posting it as a proposal to the mailing list with a date for lazy consensus. :)

I sent an email to the list with lazy consensus date Friday, February 8, 2019 for removing IRC from website.

Just to document this: We agreed to abandon the Wiki many moons ago, so no need to ask about removing the wiki.

Decision proposal, do not get rid of IRC.

Dawn Foster on 2019-02-01 to mailing list:

I posed this question here at CHAOSSCon, and Jesus tells me that they
use the channel for GSoC meetings. There were also a few other people
who seemed to be in favor of keeping it around. I think we should keep
it around for a while and keep an eye on how people use it.
