Broken urls in docs #1913
Comments
Docs are in the CherryPy repo, not here. But yes, if it's broken, we need to find the new location. Maybe it's on GitHub. cc @Lawouach |
I think maybe https://github.com/Lawouach/Twiseless could be a replacement (it's probably not the same, though) |
I just started with cherrypy so take my words with a pinch of ignorance but I'm not sure this repo is a good replacement. There are 3 broken links to @Lawouach's recipes repo. One is an example of html templating, another one is an example of using sql alchemy and the last one is on unit testing without launching the server. I'm afraid in the repo you mention there are not great examples for these 3 topics.
I tried to contact @Lawouach to ask if he still has the code but didn't manage. Did you manage to reach him? |
Hello there, My bitbucket account is likely dead in the water. I haven't been there in years. These examples are fairly old, I'm surprised the docs isn't covering them already in a better fashion? |
@Lawouach there haven't been any substantial docs changes in a while. Any chance you could recover the repo? Maybe you have it locally or mirrored somewhere? We could just host it under this org then. Plus I think it would be nice to have it (probably as an archived repo) for history. |
Oh my oh my. They were destroyed during the big BitBucket switch. I'll see if I can recover them somehow but this won't happen overnight :/ |
Thanks! |
Hello,
Thank you for cherrypy.
I wanted to let you know that there are broken links in your docs. They point to a repo in bitbucket.org that does not exist: https://bitbucket.org/Lawouach/cherrypy-recipes/
If the repo was moved, you can tell me the URL and I can open a pull request.
Josep
