The following bug was originally reported on Sourceforge by *anonymous, 2007-10-24 23:39:44:

Linedefs appear to only work from one side in build 979. A good example of this is the portal at the end of the first level in Hell Revealed.

I tried a couple of Hell Revealed MAP01 demos and they played correctly. To the bug submitter: please provide a test case that demonstrates the difference in behaviour between Chocolate Doom and Vanilla Doom: a demo lmp or a constructed level would be sufficient.

As the submitter did not provide any contact details, I cannot investigate further and am closing this bug, at least until more information is provided as to what exactly is wrong.

by comparing the entire PLAYPAL to decide if the
cached translucency map needs to get recalculated
