Helps autocomplete and find usages, making it easier to debug. Tiles and the renderer modules are pretty closely related, so there's some overlap in the docs, and some renderer-related info is mentioned in the tiles module so it is easier to understand.
No values changed, just formatting. This kind of formatting can create overhead and push away outside contributors just trying to make minimal changes.
