Chris Demetriad - Senior Frontend Engineer

Hey, I'm Chris, a Senior React Engineer brewing code in London ☕️🇬🇧. Probably sipping on my ~7th coffee for today.

Why me?

I've got quite a few years of turning coffee into code. I've been crafting user experiences that even my grandma finds cool. Rapid prototyping, swift release cycles, Agile, KISS, DRY, SOLID, YAGNI, you name it.

I play well with others but also fine on my own. Love pair programming, mentoring, improving. Furthermore, I am that guy with the jokes - always best to have one of these in your team :D.

How?

React, React Native/Expo, Next.js, JS/TS, and a sprinkle of Node/Express/Fastify (serverless too) for when I'm feeling backend-ish with MongoDB, Supabase or PostgreSQL. Redux was alright, zustand is way cooler, jotai isn't too bad. Docker, Jenkins, Playwright & Cypress, Jest & Vitest & RTL (testing is caring, after all). Figma, Sketch, InVision. MUI, Mantine, Tailwind. Big Python admirer, I'd ideally like to continue my love story with LangChain.

Anything else?

Father of two amazing kids, I have a nutcase of a widog. Keen snowboarder, strong-ish chess player, decent photographer, a way better/faster cook, and I love reading philosophy and geopolitics. Peanut butter lover.
