You may ask yourself, what is this project about? why have a project to edit VB6 files?
The sole reason that this project exists is to help developers maintaining and migrating VB6 projects today.
This project is NOT:
A reason or incentive to start new projects in VB6
A complete new compiler to substitute for VB6.EXE
An enhanced debugger
So please spare me any comments about "why develop in VB6". There is enough code out there that is written in VB6. Exactly that audience is targeted with this project. I know from experience that the VB6 IDE does not play well on any OS newer than Windows XP (or for that matter, the best OS for the VB6 IDE could be Windows 98 SE).
Some people say that for this task you could also use Notepad++. Well then, feel free to do that. For all others, you might want to check out the SharpDevelop add-in for a lot more comfort.
