chrispauley/resume

This is my resume on github.com. It is a simple Jekyll and GitHub resume that was generated using Joel Glovier's project https://github.com/jglovier/resume-template

While functional, this is not the solution that I am looking for in a resume. One of my passions is to create a CV and a resume that will enable me to find a job based on what I know and can do instead of who I know and my pedigree.

This desire to create a better resume led me to a side project that used resume schema from HRXML v2.5 in 2007. Time went by and the HRXML standard evolved into a highly structured and abstracted schema. When HRXML changed to HROpen Standards (HROS) and they committed to the JSON Schema v4, I was invited to participate as a I paid the membership fee as an independent and signed up for the role of Schema Editor for the Assessments Workgroup. I then participated as a member of the Technical Steering Committee and joined the Recruiting Workgroup.

Both of these workgroups have data structures that represent competencies and credentials. I created a branch in the HROPEN/Common repo for competencies that included a full port of the v3.3 XML competency schemas.

I am now contracting with HROS to participate in two workgroups. The first one is Credentialing Ecosystem Mapping Team. The workgroup will align competency and credential schema and standards between PESC, IMS Global, HR Open Standards, CTDL. Each member of the mapping team will define use cases, terms, and representations of credentials and competencies.

The second workgroup is Connecting Credentials Workgroup on Aligning Demand and Supply Signals. Connecting Credentials is a national initiative to make degrees, certificates, industry certifications, badges and other credentials easier to understand, use, and interconnect. It is co-sponsored by 115 organizations committed to credential system improvement and supported by Lumina Foundation.

I plan to create another rendition of my cv and resume that uses the HROPEN Recruiting Specification. This will be my dog food testing.
