 Das Promotionsvorhaben mit dem Titel: "*Von Open Access zu Open Science: Zum Wandel von wissenschaftlicher Kommunikation*" wird offen verfasst und im Blog dokumentiert. "Offen verfassen" bedeutet in diesem Fall, dass die Arbeit direkt und unmittelbar bei der Erstellung für jeden, jederzeit frei zugänglich im Internet unter einer offenen und freien Lizenz (CC-BY-SA) veröffentlicht wird.
 
 Die Arbeit wurde bisher auf der Weboberfläche von [Authorea](http://authorea.com/), einer kollaborativen Web-Textverarbeitung und Repositorium für wissenschaftliche Texte, verfasst und gespeichert. Die technische Infrastruktur hinter Authorea basiert auf einem ähnlichen Ansatz wie bei GitHub, denn auch hier wird zum Beispiel bei jedem Speichern eine Version der Arbeit als eigene Revisionen gesichert.
 
 Da in der Arbeit auch Parallelen zwischen der offenen Softwareentwicklung im Rahmen der Open-Source-Bewegung und der Öffnung von wissenschaftlicher Kommunikation gezogen werden, soll der Versuch gewagt werden, GitHub als Infrastruktur auch für die eigene wissenschaftliche Arbeit zu verwenden. Weiterer Vorteil: GitHub ermöglicht die Bearbeitung der Arbeit ohne Internetzugang, mit Authorea allein ist das nicht möglich.

The paper looks at the context of digitization and the differences between scientific disciplines. The aims of this work are to present, analyze, and discuss the expectations we have of the entire open digital scientific knowledge process.
