Settings

A number of settings can be changed to provide more information or to reduce the rendering time.

  • Show labels
    • Term labels will be shown, or hide them to reduce clutter. This slows down rendering.
  • Show a term's other parent links
    • Other (i.e. multihomed non-inferred) parent links are shown in orange. These are not inferred. A term's primary parent is currently somewhat arbitrary. Currently no inferred class display is possible. This setting is currently experimental.
  • Show deprecated terms
    • Deprecated terms will be shown in the ontology. This slows down rendering.
  • Show a wireframe view for all but ULO
    • The label boxes and node semi-sphere rendering is removed, only showing the backbone of the ontology. This increases rendering speed.
  • Ontology branches rendered as a vertical slice(s)
    • Facilitates a 2D side view of the ontology.
  • 3D/2D View
    • The default is a 3D visualization. A 2D view is also available providing a top-down view of the ontology.
  • Render deeper edges with this thickness
    • Change the thickness of deeper edges on the ontology for easier visualization.
  • Render from top down to this node depth
    • Reduce the depth of the ontology, which can reduce the rendering time especially for extremely deep ontologies.
  • Depth of each layer
