Installation and Update Instructions

Download and run SRS-AutoUpdater.exe

OR

Extract ALL the files from the "DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.zip" (link below) zip into a temporary folder and just run the installer which'll replace any previous version installed automatically.

Changelog

  • Adds a new profile option to opt-out of expansion radios (if they're enabled by the server)
  • Adds a new type of Receive ONLY radio - indicated by RX on the overlay to better support the new (and excellent) HB F4
  • Linked to the point above - made the second F4 radio RX only (https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/systems/nav_com/uhf.html)
  • Fix for the F16 IFF / Transponder turning off when toggling the pilot in the cockpit (yes really...)
  • Adds support for Guard on the F15E
  • Adds support for the A10C II volume controls on the AN/ARC-210 VHF/UHF (press the menu button then turn the Channel wheel slowly apparently). Its a bit flaky but if you're slow it'll be fine
  • Fixed radio volume sliders to more appropriately change volume depending on the position (they're no longer linear)
  • Fixed the Intercom Ambient Cockpit Audio setting not saving correctly when enabled

DCS / VR Compatible Overlay

The overlay has 4 states, hidden, small, small+volume & full that you can see by pressing Left Control + Left Shift + Escape by default.

The Full state has a title bar that you can click and drag the window around with. The window position will be saved for when DCS is next opened.

To configure the overlay hotkey, run DCS and go to the SRS Section inside the DCS Settings

Server Hosting

For the server you need to open TCP AND UDP PORTS 5002 unless you've changed the server port using the server config file. Ports must be opened manually using Port Forwarding or similar techniques.

Banned IPs are added to a file created where ever the server is run called banned.txt. To unban, just delete the IP from the file and restart the server.

The server will always open ONE PORT in two Protocols TCP and UDP - you can control this with the Config file. If you cant press PTT but everything else looks fine - this is why and indicated with the VoIP Green Plug 👍
