This is the same apa.csl but with the comments option, as is illustrated in the book of the APA Style 7th edition. This contribution can be helpful for the use of the APA Style indicating the original source of translation of books, articles, and so on, at the and of the reference entry.

Awesome! You just created a pull request to the Citation Styles Language styles repository. One of our human volunteers will try to get in touch soon (usually within a week). In the meantime, I will run some automated checks. You should be notified of the results in a few minutes.

If you haven't done so yet, please make sure your style validates and follows all our other Style Requirements.

To update this pull request, visit the "Files changed" tab above, click on the ellipsis button in the top-right corner of your style, and then select "Edit file" to start editing:

If you have any questions, please leave a comment and we'll get back to you. While we usually respond in English, feel free to write in whatever language you're most comfortable.

😟 There are some issues with your submission.

1 test failed

apa-7th-edition-with-comments: "self" link must match the style ID

expected: "http://www.zotero.org/styles/apa"
     got: "http://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-7th-edition-with-comments"

(compared using ==)

Please check the test report for details.

Thanks! We have basically this style available already, intended more for annotated bibliographies than for additional publication information, but essentially equivalent in output, so we won't take this for the repository.

Thanks for the reply, adam3smith. But There's a difference between the annotated bibliographies and the note for translations. I can show you about it.

I understand that one is in parentheses and the other one is on a new line. But in effect, this is a custom style for people with highly custom data entry in the reference managers and it's just not feasible to add every such variant. You're obviously very welcome to use it yourself. Many of us have a set of custom styles for specific purposes.
