Add cross-reference hyperlink within "importing your data" #174
Comments
Hey there,
Here's the organising your data section:
https://docs.civicrm.org/user/en/latest/organising-your-data/overview/ -
English spelling :)
Might be that there is useful stuff in that wiki page. If you have the
time, a quick review of them both and pulling in the relevant stuff
would be great.
And it would be great to delete that wiki page once we've made sure we
aren't missing any gems.

For example, the Importing Data into CiviCRM

(line 16 in the page source

says
please read the section on "Organizing your data"
but this section doesn't exist in the book. (I think. I did search for
it.)
Obviously we could just go ahead and migrate the wiki page
<https://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Organizing+Your+Data>,
but short of that is there an interim quick-fix to minimize confusion
until that page is migrated?

Ah, thanks for the spelling "correction" @michaelmcandrew . I didn't think of that. So, are we aiming to avoid links between sections? That is, do we have a reason not to make a hyperlink out of the text that mentions that section? |
You can go ahead and add a link (and remove any guidance that says you
shouldn't - we used to advise not to due to limitations of the previous
system)
