Proposed by Erwin Komen (Radboud University Nijmegen):

Entering long lists of controlled vocabulary is a tedious job in the current web application.

Suggestions for improvement:

  • After finishing one item with an ENTER, open a textbox for a next item and put the cursor in there so that the user can start typing immediately
  • Allow 'batches' of controlled vocabulary-items to be uploaded (csv) or pasted (tab-separated or newline separated or even semicolon-separated lists)

https://trac.clarin.eu/ticket/209

Vocabulary editing (see also #191) is now very linear. There should be a way to easily rearrange items in the vocabulary and possibly also:

  • A sort by value/display value option
  • File import/export

Order matters because for example Arbil will show the list in its original order

Papa Parse looks like a good candidate for a csv batch editor (or Baby Parse)

CSV batch editor, which also makes it possible to move items around implemented as of 477a02e
Also implemented (see commits above) is tab-based navigation within the table editor.
