See Limit the number of fields to display on Field UI with Display Suite.

This module doesn't work in Drupal 8, while this feature issue is not yet available in Drupal 8 core.

Are there any other options to shown only a specific item (e.g. by it's index) of a multiple value field?

We can use image entities instead of a multi html field (with <img src="..."/> tag) in conjunction with the image delta formatter module:

However, image upload is currently not working!

Not an optimal solution but at least a working solution.

T4.3 Scenario Management automation moved this from To do to Done Nov 9, 2018
