Magento fails to get AvaTax Company Code from config settings #112

In some instances, trying to configure AvaTax credentials at only the website level results in an error.

Preconditions

  1. Magento version 2.x

Steps to reproduce

  1. Leave the AvaTax credentials empty in the Default Config scope
  2. Configure AvaTax credentials in a specific Website scope
  3. Save Config

Expected result

  1. Magento should display a message indicating that the credentials have been saved

Actual result

  1. Magento reports that the credentials are incomplete

A new release has been created to address this issue. Closing issue as resolved.
