This is an informal meeting to be held at Real World Crypto 2021.
What is an informal meeting? It is a far-less planned meeting where people interested in the topic come together and discuss ideas!
What is the topic? The topic is Deniability, the fun property that allows participants in a protocol to deny having executed an action to anyone but themselves.
We held a similar event on RWC2020, so this is a deniable tradition now!
This form takes inspiration from the pl-hci-school-2020 organized by Sarah Chasins, Elena Glassman, Shriram Krishnamurthi and Hila Peleg, and by the Fourteenth Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium, ANTS-XIV organized by Steven Galbraith.
The event will be entirely virtual.
The meeting will happen for at least 30 min but can go for as long as wanted.
There is no schedule set up in stone, but the main ideas to discuss are:
- Deniability: the current notions.
- Deniability and message franking.
- Deniability and group chat.
We have no idea how much demand there will be, so get in touch with us, if you want to participate.
Participation is free; but you must read and abide by the SNAPL Friendly Environment Policy.
We require that every participant represent themselves by the name that they use for their professional work (this can be a pseudonym that they generally use for their professional work). No participant can impersonate another person.
- Zoom.
- Zulip: for setting up a channel where we can talk about deniability and chatting with other participants.
This isn't a place for people to be exclusionary or for harassment.
