How do i use cli in codespaces?

I have installed it in codespaces with brew install gh but upon gh auth login I'm getting the following error. Is this the intended behavior?

The value of the GITHUB_TOKEN environment variable is being used for authentication.
To have GitHub CLI store credentials instead, first clear the value from the environment.

GitHub CLI is already pre-installed and pre-authenticated in Codespaces. You do not have to do anything special before starting using it.

The gh auth login command is saying that the CLI is already authenticated via the GITHUB_TOKEN environment variable. Sorry if this is unclear. We should perhaps adjust the message to tell you that you are already authenticated.
