How can I remove a field value with gh projects item-edit?

I managed to set field values with gh projects item-edit but now I also want to remove a value. This is possible on the website, how can I do it with gh?

@Toxaris There is no explicit way to unset a field value, but you can use the same invocation you used to set the field and enter a blank string/number/date value.

How do I enter a blank number? I tried gh item-edit ... --number '' but that errors out in the client:

invalid argument "" for "--number" flag: strconv.ParseFloat: parsing "": invalid syntax

Unfortunately at the moment I don't think that is possible due to the error you are seeing. Feel free to open an issue with that feature request. In the mean time, for your use case you could use a number like 0 or -1 to indicate an unset/invalid number.
