Clint is obviously the expert, but I know he's a busy guy so thought I'd offer an idea. I suspect you're hitting a localization issue with the name of the counters. I don't know that localization work has been done to handle non EN-US counter objects.

My apologies, but unfortunately, only the core operating system counters translated between languages and I don’t have translations for SQL Server counters. Try changing your local to English and then trying again.
