Copied from rewrite-cljc-playground lread/rewrite-cljc-playground#15, fix to be reapplied to rewrite-clj:

These functions came to me with no docs. They can currently be found under rewrite-cljc.editz.

Verify my guess at their docstrings.

Once I understand intent, behavior might need to be corrected.
