Maybe I am wrong, but this code...

.b{
 &.c{
  .a&{
   color: red;
  }
 }
}

Once compiled is resulting on...

.a .b.c {
 color: red;
}

Shouldn't it be...

.a.b.c {
 color: red;
}

Notice the space created between: .a .b, moreover it was specified: .a&
