Logs say he was given the code, but he says it's not in his DMs

The logs clearly have a debug statement from immediately before the send(message) call and immediately after it, but the message is not in user's DMs. We'd need a way to find out if they received the message properly... but send() doesn't seem to return anything useful, and it didn't throw an exception because the succeeding print statement still executed.
