• the same fix as in 76X Fix issue with weird linking case crashing reprocessing #12930; the same crash was happening in HI prompt reco (https://hypernews.cern.ch/HyperNews/CMS/get/recoDevelopment/1412.html) and a fix will be useful in this release as well.
• jenkins tests pass and comparisons with baseline show no differences as expected
  • crash fix was tested with Fix issue with weird linking case crashing reprocessing #12930 in 76X

This pull request is fully signed and it will be integrated in one of the next CMSSW_7_5_X IBs (tests are also fine) and once validation in the development release cycle CMSSW_7_6_X is complete.
