@keerstorm I put a few fixes in this draft PR above. Thanks for trying to run it! Feel free to try directly from this repo (rather than the Zenodo).

  1. I have been unable to replicate the evalcast installation issue you mentioned. I just ran the one from the README
remotes::install_github("cmu-delphi/covidcast@evalcast-0.3", subdir = "R-packages/evalcast")

on my local machine (MacOS 12.3.1, Apple M1) without issue. Other than what @capnrefsmmat suggested, I'm not quite sure what the issue could be.

  1. covidHubUtils and zoltar are dependencies of evalcast and will be installed automatically. I'm not sure what needs arrow, but I would guess it's somewhere down the dependency tree.
  2. And thanks for catching the lags/qr_lags issue. Hopefully my fix didn't ruin anything downstream.

If your hope is to "rerun everything", it ... takes a while. For the paper, the code was run across multiple machines (including HCPs) by different people. If there's something more specific, I can try to help with that.
