Request for computing access for Picolo project #101
Milestone
Comments
Sorry, we need to say no to this for now. We need to see a real repo with
active development occurring and a clear Readme so that others can
participate. https://github.com/picolonet/site is not that.
https://github.com/picolonet/dht makes me think you're looking for a
high-capacity Bittorent node.

Please fill out the details below to file a request for access to the CNCF

working on specific open source projects; this is not designed just to get
your feet wet. The most important answer is the URL of the project you'll
be working with. If you're looking to learn Kubernetes and related
technologies, please try out Katacoda

Arunesh Mishra ***@***.*** Picolo Labs Inc CTO, co-founder. Decentralized
edge-friendly data and compute for web 3.0 applications. Briefly describe
the project (i.e., what is the detail of what you're planning to do with
these servers?)
Picolo is a fully open source project to leapfrog the infrastructure
needed to support next generation Web 3.0 applications. These servers shall
help us in building, testing benchmarking Picolo's edge friendly data and
compute stack. It will also help us contribute back to the community and
work closely with other open source projects as we will share our
learnings/research and experience.
Is the code that you’re going to run 100% open source? If so, what is the
URL or URLs where it is located? What is your association with that project?
We are the founders of the Picolo Labs project. All source is hosted at
https://github.com/picolonet
What kind of machines and how many do you expect to use (see:
https://www.packet.com/bare-metal/)?
Primarily edge and cloud machines.
What OS and networking are you planning to use (see:
https://support.packet.com/kb/articles/supported-operating-systems)?
Any linux based OS should work well (Ubuntu, Debian, etc). Most of the
functionality will be containerized.
Any other relevant details we should know about?
Web 3.0 is needs a solid cloud infrastructure, its time to build it.

Sorry, but please feel free to try again when you have a more mature
project, including preferably several hundred stars.
