Currently our catalog for Core Components is deployed as a prototype. Long term we will want a permanent home under a Cockroach Labs managed domain.

Tasks

  • Choose a domain name
  • Find out who owns creating sub-domains (Talk to #dev-inf)
  • Reserve chosen domain name to point to deployment (which may or may not exist yet)

I think we will probably want to use the crdb.io tld instead of cockroachlabs.com or cockroachlabs.cloud or whatever. But I'm open to discusssion.

Given that, I think it would be something like core-components.crdb.io or core-components.storybook.crdb.io. Which looks pretty wordy, so maybe core.storybook.crdb.io?

WDYT @j-low @laurenbarker @Annebirzin ?

I think I like core-components.crdb.io the best, but open to either

I have create a GCP bucket, core-components.crdb.io that has an associated HTTPS load-balancer attached. I've also added an HTTP LB that will 301 to HTTPS.
