Configuration and Deployment

1. Run the following to get a Github API Oath token: curl -i -u "<USERNAME>:<PASS>" https://api.github.com/authorizations -d '{"scopes":["repo"]}'
2. You will get a JSON response; utilizing the token value, run the following to set the Heroku value. heroku config:add GITHUB_ACCESS_TOKEN=<TOKEN_VALUE>

Run locally

1. Install homebrew
2. Install Node and NPM: brew install node
3. Install packages: npm install
4. To run locally, set the token value that was generated above in one of two ways:
   • (suggested) As an environment variable: export GITHUB_ACCESS_TOKEN="<TOKEN_VALUE>"
   • In config.yml (do NOT commit token!)
5. Run server: coffee app.coffee

To locally simulate a GitHub post-receive hook, enter this in your terminal while running locally :
