Can you tell us what you are attempting to build with Codenvy. It will help provide guidance. Some of the subsystem modules have special requirements that have to be installed and configured on subsystems before a compilation can go through successfully. If you just need a binary to run, you can, for example, save a lot of time by just building the final assembly in the /assembly directory. That assembly will link together the necessary libraries without rebuilding each library folder directly.
Please let us know whether you are part of a corporation. We are about to make substantial changes to the repository structure and distribution approach. Since Codenvy does have a commercial license, we do want to make sure that we are aware of what is happening in the wild. We are not aggressive or anything like that about our IP - we have our repo open after all :) But we do like to be aware and try to help.
That comment is not very clear. I provided instructions above on how to build a binary. If you would like to get some deeper level of support, let's get our customer support organization involved to understand your project and how we can help, and to set you up so that you are not struggling.
