LruImageCache

This is LRU image cache class with a maximum item count of 10.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'lru_image_cache'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install lru_image_cache

Usage

# create cache instance
cache = LruImageCache::Cache.new

# write cache with URL
cache.write "http://example.com/example.jpg"

# read cache with URL
# returns FILE object
file = cache.read "http://example.com/example.jpg"

# clear cache
cache.delete

# make sure whether cache is empty or not
p "empty!" if cache.empty?

# make sure whether a image exists in cache
p "exists!" if cache.exists "http://example.com/example.jpg"

# count cache images
p cache.count

# get all cache size
p cache.size

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
