This meeting was largely a discussion between Andy K and myself (Lyndon) surrounding the correct organisational structure and developments including research and findings.

Organisational Matters

It seems by all accounts that an incorporated "scientific" association is the best choice for the organising structure of the group.

  • Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) -> Self assessed NFP for < $150K (no worries!)
  • Declare a DRC? (registered charity) -> Charities -> Letter -> ATO
  • File occurrence of AGM -> CAV (Annually)
  • Requires 2x sign-off
  • Keep proceedings and books, etc.
  • Get bank account
  • Get Xero
  • Re-Sign agreements
  • External advice received to date
