v2.1.0 – Introducing Michael MJD Mode!

We're thrilled to introduce Michael MJD Mode. Now you can authentically relive the delightful moments that inspired this very project – like the MSN Messenger icon floating across your screen at great speed, and inexplicable angles.

Since we can't expect everyone to want this and other easter eggs in their screensaver, we've decided to hide MJD mode behind a secret link. Although now that we think About it, maybe it's not so secret. It's not hard to find, really.

While the creators of Floaticons are not affiliated with Michael MJD, we would like to extend special thanks to Michael for sending us the list of icons he previously used in his videos.

This is marked as a pre-release as Michael has no knowledge of its existence and we'd like use this pre-release to make sure he's okay with usage of his logo in our software.

v2.0.0 – Big Icons and Options Update

Introducing screensaver options with animation speed and icon choices. Marked as pre-release because I have not tested this thoroughly yet, and plan to add even more icons before making this a final release.

v1.1.0 - support for multiple displays

This update brings support for multiple displays. The screensaver will show on all connected displays at once, with a separate random logo shown on each one.

First release. Contains nine different icons for well-known operating systems and shows them randomly.
There are no configuration options.

To install on Windows Vista or later, download the .scr below. Right click it in Explorer, then choose Install and OK.
On Windows XP or 2000 SP3+, additionally install the .NET 2.0 (provided here).
To install on Windows 11, right click the .scr and choose "Show More Options", then "Test". You will be prompted to install .NET 3.5 through the Windows Features wizard. After it's installed, right click the file again and choose "Show More Options" and then "Install".

To install in a Windows VM, download the .iso below and insert it into the VM. The ISO contains both the Screensaver as well as the .NET Framework installer. You can download the .img if you intend to use a (virtual) floppy disk.
