They offer quite a few specifically african wordlists, and seem to even have an underlying mapping of the concepts (but less clear to me). Anyway, it's worth a look to get more lists for the concepticon.

The good thing about the wordlists: they are in french and english translation, so mapping one can help to automatically map the other one, since we have more information regarding the rest. They also seem to ahve their own internal mapping system (otherwise it would be strange why their swadesh lists have more entries than they normally have, if not for multiple mappings to different base concepts).

I suggest to add those lists here which seem to be most useful to have priority to be added for the first release.

These lists are very large in part, but we can start from smaller lists:

  • Barreteau-1987-257
  • Dieu-1983-165
  • Williamson-1968-134

We just decided to treat the lists as a source of itself, quoting comparalex as author/editor, and noting that the original source was some other text.
