This no longer compiles with rustc 1.12 beta. Removing the conversion to a non-static lifetime works on both 1.11 stable and 1.12 beta.
This is necessary to build with the current aster v0.22.1.

steveklabnik tells me this is in fact a rustc bug and should be fixed in rustc 1.12.0-beta.2. |
