I wonder if this behavior is incorrect. A notification is something that is pushed in a queue and remains there until the user removes it.
I think it's the same on vscode. Let's say you don't have something installed, install it, the notification is still in the bottom right until you clear the queue.
This might not be related, but when I delete the podman machine without first closing the notification, the notification pops up twice.
I would not consider this to be the correct behaviour:
