app_dev scss error

Description
On app_dev there will be an scss compile error "Warning: end() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given". The problem is the function near the bottom of the _variables file where an comment block hangs up below the opening curly braces.
How to reproduce
Activate app_dev ;)
