I prefer the simplicity of redis-py, but I'm open to debate as to which project to use queues.

D'oh! cookiecutter is Jinja. We can ask the user what they prefer and user either one or the other!!!

Thanks to #266 we are on celery. An option for python-rq is something worth considering as well.
