Need option for registration through Google

My organisation only uses Google oAuth for logging into internal DokuWiki. New users are registered automatically, but only when registration is turned on. Before 0aa332f we could turn off registration, and still allow new users through Google oAuth only.

Now, we have to turn on registration, which also shows the "Register"-button on the login page. This is confusing to new users, as they do not understand that registering is only done via the Google-button.

Could you please add an option so that the oAuth-plugin can revert to the previous mode, if so desired?

if a you just login with his gmail acount and has no account - he automatically gets an acount.

@TheRojam Registration through Google works. It's just that, because of the fact that it works, the regular registration button is superfluous and I would like to disable it.

This was possible before 0aa332f, but no longer.

Any news on this? If I understand correctly, pull request #43 will solve this issue. Thanks again.

I would also love if that pull request would be added.
Otherwise we need to activate registration in a wiki. In a none public wiki we really don't want to do that.

I also would like to allow OAuth registration without Registration links. I opened issue #62 and then discovered this issue afterwards. One temporary workaround I set up in the meantime is a modified template - though it doesn't disable the registration form, it at least hides Register links from the user. See https://github.com/mhenry07/dokuwiki-template-dokupruned. I agree that #43 or an equivalent solution would be better overall.
