We could make a cherry pick release (example) as version 2023.3. However, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort. This seems to affect only a few users and we're 3 months away from the regular release. |

Fixes #2923.
This PR fixes the TDDFPT restart functionality which is broken since PR #2859 .
Adds a regtests testing the restart functionality.
@oschuett Is it possible to add this PR to version 2023.2?
