Attendance: 22 # of Authors: 2 Author Position: SF, did not vote Outcome: Weak consensus in favor. End: 12:01 SummaryWe discussed what we should do with the Library Fundamentals v3 Technical Specification. It's been a work in progress for a number of years, but efforts on it have slowed as we have increasingly moved away from using Library Technical Specifications. There was consensus that the status quo - continuing to invest effort into it - was not acceptable. However, it was less clear what we should do instead. P2361 proposed that we should publish the TS as-is, but we did not have consensus for that. Eventually, we reached a consensus that we don't want to publish the Library Fundamentals v3 TS, but we do want to consider its contents for inclusion into a future C++ Standard. Those evaluations will likely need to happen before Library Evolution has consensus to formally close the TS. Next StepsTake an electronic poll on publishing the Library Fundamentals v3 Technical Specification. |
