Firestore Setup Guide

Follow these instructions to set up your Firestore database for this class.

  1. From the GCP Console, click on Firestore
  2. In the getting started page, click on the NATIVE MODE button

3. Choose a database location from the drop-down (closest in proximity to your own location)
4. Click the CREATE DATABASE button. Wait a few seconds.
5. Once your database has been created, you should see "Your database is ready to go. Just add data".

That's all you have to do! No need to stop the database or instance.
