Any support information or FAQs for the WhereAmINYC app will be linked here.
Location permissions are required in order to run the WhereAmINYC app and get proper location information. It is recommended to always
allow precise location - this will allow the app to determine your neighborhood/borough properly.
Unfortunately, WhereAmINYC only works if you are currently located within one of the five boroughs. If you are outside of NYC, you will see an error message stating that you are not in the city.
Additionally, if we are unable to determine either the neighborhood or borough (the backend is down or returns an error response), there will be a respective error shown on the client side.
