Can't place Double chests in front of each other. #4754
Comments
I thought double chests are not supposed to be put in front of each other. It doesn't work in single player either. |
It became possible in 1.13, but 1.12 doesn't support it clientside due to metadata limiting the number of block states (if you try to put more chests next to each other, they'll connect into triple chests and become invisible). The workaround is to use trapped chests, which don't connect to regular chests. |
Oh ok, so it's a vanilla thing. This should be taken in account when 1.13 support is eventually implemented. |
Reopened to keep track of 1.13 features as well. Even if we can't implement them yet. |
oh ok |
What’s missing for this to be implementable ? I’d like to contribute |
I don't think it's time for that.
You can try to make it work BUT as already mentioned you have to deal with the issue that triple chests become invisible |
What’s missing to implement 1.13 block states ? Is there an issue open for that ? |
There's a forum post https://forum.cuberite.org/thread-3313.html |
