Collection site is described as Yosemite National Park but Alameda is given as county. Georeferencing notes say Tuolumne and Mariposa counties. Yosemite actually includes portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa, and Madera counties. My guess is that the county was not supplied by the collector and a glitch during data entry accidentally included Alameda in the county field. Alameda would be the first county shown in an alphabetical listing of all counties in California.

This issue is apparently due to a recently discovered issue related to translation of our Specify database into VertNet. If no county is specify, VertNet is inserting the the first county in alphabetical order for the state in a locality record. In our original record for CUMV:Amphibian:1766 does not specify any county. VertNet programmers are now aware of the issue, and it should be corrected in a future refresh of our specimen data for VertNet.
