Make it clear that it's for host name and not hostname:port (which could be implied by calling it host).
Another thing I added but only to set was "If it is a bracketed IPv6 numeric address it may contain a zone id (or you can use CURLUPART_ZONEID)." because right now we allow for example
[fe80::20c:29ff:fe9c:409b%25foo]and it parses out the zone id.
