Interesting idea; to make it most compelling though we'll need improved enemy spawning methods. Right now C-Dogs only has one way of spawning enemies mid-game, randomly and out of sight. Other spawning methods include actual "spawner" objects, or via scripting. Then we can have set-piece defence scenarios, e.g. start holding a room, and a constant stream of zombies spawn outside the room. Right now it could be kind of faked with keys, see how the Doom campaign has a few monster closets which are basically locked doors with monsters behind them, but it's not quite the same effect. |
