Because I often use close immediately followed by rename (or vice versa), and it would convenient to have them together.

At least a context-menu option
Maybe also a shift-state action --- Ctl+click on the Close button?
- If so, add some visual indicator to the action buttons when visible and Ctl is pressed or released.
