Reported in the forums:

have a problem, since the latest update the OpenStreetMap view angle changed, and now the maps look very bad, because the view angle is not 90 degree, but something like 45 degree. How to change it back to 90 degree?

This is actually caused by using the EPSG:4326 projection, which uses lat/lon coordinates but scrunches up near the poles.
