The what, why, and how:
A lightweight front-end web app used to call an API that searches through IMDB database to find movie/show title and relays results back to the user. Displays a list of streaming services where the selected title can be found and contains a direct link to that content.
Instructions and examples for use:
Enter the title of the desired search title in the prompt field and click search. A list of relevant titles will be displayed below. Select the desired show or movie, the application will then display at the bottom of the page a list containing any streaming services currently offering that title. Clicking the streaming service will link the user directly to the content on the streaming website.
If you would like to contribute it, you can follow these guidelines for how to do so.
Improvements needed: implementation of autocomplete search ability, add local storage functionality to allow users to see recent searches or suggested searches, implement local storage option to only search desired services: i.e where user has subscriptions.
