  • Try fast-forward merge of 8.*.x branch into master and push if that's successful.
  • Otherwise always create PR from sync branch instead of creating a PR from 8.*.x into master direct

Merged this and triggered the action.

Ended up with two PRs for the same changes, which I guess makes sense (one for merge, one for dispatch, both FF)
